About Early Decision
Loyola School began offering an Early Decision option in the 2008-2009 application season. The success of the process over the past two years inspires us to continue Early Decision for fall 2011. Please consider this option if your family is certain that Loyola School is the school in which you will enroll upon acceptance. This is an important decision and the family should make it together. Contracts and enrollment deposits for students accepted in the Early Decision process are due December 17, 2010.
Early Decision and Financial Aid
Please be aware that only a limited number of students requesting financial aid will be granted awards during the Early Decision process. Those students who qualify but were not awarded Financial Aid will be considered along with the regular applicant pool. Though we expect Early Decision candidates whose financial needs are met to enroll upon acceptance, we understand that families to whom an award cannot be made during the Early Decision process may need to await the financial aid decisions made in late January.
Other Important Information
Families who are applying Early Decision are encouraged to submit Part 1 of the Loyola School application, along with the application fee, as soon as possible. This will allow the Office of Admission to begin scheduling interviews for Early Decision candidates.
Also, please note that Early Decision candidates are welcome to take the Loyola Entrance Exam (HSPT) on November 13, so long as the rest of the completed application (including grades, teacher recommendations, and essays) is submitted by the November 19 deadline. Students are also welcome to register for the ISEE or the SSAT should that be a more convenient option.
