Alumni Association

Welcome to the Alumni Association page! The Alumni Association Board is comprised of alumni who are passionate about Loyola and the education they received and relationships they developed here, as well as about staying connected to their alma mater. The Association was re-founded in 1997 on the basis of perpetuating friendships made at Loyola by providing a forum in which to do so as well as to provide a link between the present students at the School and those who formerly attended.  The Association works very hard at meeting the needs of all graduates by sponsoring a wide range of events, including Alumni Night, the Alumni Dinner, Networking Night, Service Days, the Coach “A” Alumni Basketball Tournament, reunions, and more.  If you would like to contact any member of the Alumni Association Board, please visit the online directory. All members can be contacted via email.

Alumni Service

On Sunday, December 4, 2011 alumni and their families, students and administrators gathered together to celebrate Mass and compile over 100 boxes of donated food items for the Welcome Table at St. Francis Xavier Church.  Our students donated over 1,200 cans of food and with alumni donations, we reached approximately 1,400 canned food items overall!  The boxes of donated items will be distributed to individuals and families who rely on Xavier’s food pantry.

A special thank you to faculty moderator, Joann Kusk, for leading the student effort this year, alumna Andrea Gannon Brereton ’85 for organizing Christmas card making, and to our Alumni Association Board for sponsoring the event.  Special thanks to our students for their canned food donations, help with counting cans and assembling the boxes, and help with setup on the morning of the event and Christmas card making with our youngest volunteers, especially:

Whether you play golf, love to socialize, enjoy attending lectures, are interested in community service or would like to help students or alumni find a job, our goal is to make it easy for you to come back to Loyola and enjoy each other’s company. Don’t worry if you aren’t in Manhattan or the surrounding area, Loyola is known to travel to all parts of the States to visit you. Please take a look at the individual event links for more details and keep checking back since we are always adding more information.  You can also check our Facebook page for event updates and information.

Alumni

Dear Loyola School Alumni/ae,

As an alumna of Loyola School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the school’s new website.  Whether you are near or far, this is an easy way to stay connected to your alma mater and with our community of over 2,500 alumni/ae living across the globe.  Information on upcoming events, publications, the Alumni Association, how to stay connected to the school, and reconnecting with old friends are all just a click away!

Loyola School would not be the institution it is today, educating women and men for others, without you, our talented and generous alumni/ae whose ties to Loyola remain strong long after graduation.  Alums continue to participate through reunions and other events including the Alumni Dinner, Shea-Armstrong Golf Classic, Alumni Networking Night, and more.  So many of you give back to the school through teaching, coaching, serving on various boards, and by providing financial support to Loyola’s fundraising efforts.  Some take it a step farther by sending your children to Loyola, creating the next generation of alumni/ae!

We would love to see you at an event or have you visit us on your next trip to New York.  Whether you graduated years ago or only recently, you will be pleased to see so many traditions still in place and amazed at the progress made on campus.  Even if you are unable to return to Loyola, send us a note and let us know how you are doing.  Keep checking back, as we are always adding news and photos.

If you have questions or need additional information about events, becoming more involved, or supporting Loyola, please feel free to contact me at mminson@loyola-nyc.org.  Come home soon to 83rd and Park.

Sincerely yours,
Mary Ann Lynch Minson ’99
Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations
