Loyola School Alumni Association
Community Service Event

Want to make a difference in the lives of those who are in great need?
Want a chance to enjoy the spirit of giving with fellow alums?

Please join us!
On Sunday, April 18, 2010, all alumni are invited to participate in a day of service
at the Welcome Table, a weekly soup kitchen at St. Francis Xavier Church.

Every Sunday, the Xavier Welcome Table serves hot meals to hundreds of
Manhattan's poor, hungry, and homeless. Volunteers are absolutely
critical to the success of the kitchen, providing help in serving meals,
and extending compassion and kindness to those so often overlooked in
our city.

The day of service is a very unique and meaningful way to reconnect with
Loyola and fellow classmates and to demonstrate to those in need the
Ignatian spirit of generosity and service.

Volunteers should arrive to Xavier (55 West 15th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues), at 11:45 a.m. for directions and a morning prayer.  The Welcome Table needs our help from approximately 12:00 until 3:30 p.m., at which time Fr. Katsouros will say mass for Loyola volunteers in the Xavier chapel.

All class years and children over the age of 16 are very welcome.
Space is limited, so please call:
Anne Sekel (973) 698-6760 or email: abs30@columbia.edu as soon as possible.
