This year’s Coffeehouse, “Chairman of the Board,” took its inspiration from a variety of iconic sources: one part-Board Room, one part-typing pool, one part-Stooges, one part-Sinatra, and a comic nod to the 12 steps of recovery. This year’s Class of 2008 ground these rather disparate ideas into an exploration of politics, gender, power, competition, dunking, bad attachments, addiction, and most of all, love.
With over 44 student performers and participants and an audience of over 150 over the two nights, Coffeehouse provided one last creative break before students took leave for Spring Break.
Student writers, actors, dancers, singers and musicians included: Alexander Shaw; Alex Powers; Alexandra King; Alexandria Catherall; Andrew Crane; Angelina Sanchez; Arianna Esposito; Aundrea Fudge; Austin Horner, Ayanna Legros; Brianne Willis; Caitlin McManus; Claudia Morell; Daniel Velasco; Darryl Abraham; Diana Blaser; Elizabeth Gillooly; Elizabeth Petitti; Emily Miano; Emma Hreljanovic; Erin Kavanagh; Francesco Mollica; Gabriella Tutino; Grace Lawton; Henry Newman; James Burrows; Julia Mills; Kate M. Finnerty; Katrina Bayoneto; Kristen Miano; Kristopher Robinson; Luca Mannarino; Lucia Bederson; visting drummer Luke Alpert; Nicholas Doepp; Nicholas Kanisczak; Pedro das Neves; Preston Pezzaro; Robert Lagno; Rory Banim; Stefano Cassar; Tom Kelly; Theresa Murphy; Vincent Recca; William Healy and Yul Lee.
