The Loyola retreat program provides the opportunity for students to momentarily step back from the “busy-ness” of their lives and to reflect on God’s presence in their daily experiences and in the world around them. The retreats are designed to encourage students to find God present in all things, and to grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their families.

Beginning with an overnight retreat in the school during freshman year, the retreat program builds incrementally each year, culminating in the 4-day Kairos retreat during the fall of their senior year. In addition to the required retreats for each class, there are optional retreats for juniors and seniors—one for young women, and one for young men. Students work closely with faculty members in planning the retreats, and many sessions of each retreat are student-directed.
